STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP.
Any ideas?
Well, I know most of you knows what Leadership is, right?
How about "Strategic"?
C'mon, root word -- Strategy..?!
Okay... now, things should start popping, huh?
Those of you who are into higher-level Leadership should have
a definite idea about being a Strategist.
From "forecasts of trends and industry analysis to resource audit...
to identification of past strategies... to strategy evaluation... to cultural analysis."
In the Art of War, Sun Tzu illustrated the Value of Environmental
forecasting and analysis in the following excerpt:
"We are not fit to lead an army on the march unless we are familiar
with the face of the country -- its mountains and forests, its pitfalls.
He who exercises no forethought but makes light of his opponents
is sure to be captured by them.
... if you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result
of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy,
for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat.
If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle."
...
Now, if there's one word that could describe Strategic Leadership -- FUTURE.
Want Real Value?
It's knowing WHERE you are...
it's knowing WHY you failed before...
it's knowing WHO to partner...
it's knowing WHAT to do with what you have...
it's knowing WHEN to use what you have... and,
it's knowing HOW to get to your destination at the set time.
Remember...
Goal-orientedness + Creativity + Foresight + Analysis + Decisiveness =
